Mental Health Counseling & Sex Therapy
Healing begins with feeling seen, heard, and understood.
Whether you're navigating a life transition, strengthening your relationships, exploring your identity, or seeking greater emotional and sexual well-being, therapy provides a space to slow down, reflect, and move forward with intention. I believe counseling is a collaborative process rooted in curiosity, compassion, and meaningful growth.
As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Board Certified-Telemental Health Provider (BC-TMH), I have spent nearly two decades supporting individuals and couples across a variety of clinical settings. Today, I provide counseling to adults (18+) through both in-person and secure telehealth sessions.
A Practice Where You Belong
I believe every person deserves a space where they feel safe, respected, and valued. Your relationships, culture, identities, values, faith, and lived experiences all shape who you are, and I consider each of these an important part of the therapeutic process. I welcome individuals and couples of all cultural backgrounds, gender identities, sexual orientations, relationship structures, and faith traditions.
My Approach
At my core, I believe people are naturally capable of growth, resilience, and healing. My role isn't to tell you who to become—it's to create the conditions that help you reconnect with your strengths, gain new insight, and build a life that reflects your values and goals.
My work is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, while drawing from a variety of evidence-informed approaches to meet your unique needs. Depending on your goals, I may integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Existential Therapy, Feminist Therapy, and other therapeutic approaches. Together, we'll identify practical strategies that support lasting change, whether that includes developing new coping skills, strengthening communication, processing difficult experiences, or exploring thoughts and emotions in greater depth.
Areas I Commonly Help Clients Navigate
Many of the individuals and couples I work with seek support to:
Strengthen self-worth and confidence
Improve communication and relationship satisfaction
Deepen emotional and sexual intimacy
Explore identity, sexuality, and personal values
Navigate faith, spirituality, and their impact on relationships
Reduce anxiety, stress, and emotional distress
Process grief, loss, and significant life transitions
Create healthier patterns that support long-term wellness
Sex Therapy
Sex therapy is a specialized area of practice that focuses on concerns related to sexual functioning, intimacy, desire, communication, and sexual well-being. This work includes a comprehensive assessment, individualized treatment planning, and evidence-informed behavioral interventions designed to help you reach your goals.
Because sex therapy differs from traditional mental health counseling, these services may not be covered by insurance.
What to Expect
Your journey begins with a complimentary consultation where we'll discuss your goals, answer your questions, and determine whether we're a good fit.
If we decide to move forward together, you'll receive access to my secure client portal to complete intake paperwork and, if applicable, verify your insurance benefits. During our first session, we'll explore your history, current concerns, strengths, and hopes for counseling while developing a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
Therapy is an active, collaborative process, and every client's journey is different. While some concerns can be addressed in a relatively short period of time, meaningful growth often develops over months of intentional work. Many clients begin with weekly or biweekly sessions and adjust the frequency as they progress toward their goals.
I believe the best care begins by prioritizing your own well-being. Whether you're working through a difficult season or investing in personal growth, I would be honored to partner with you as you build a healthier relationship with yourself and the people who matter most.
