Clinical Supervision & Consultation
Exceptional clinicians never stop learning. Whether you are working toward independent licensure or seeking consultation years into your career, supervision provides an opportunity to strengthen clinical judgment, deepen self-awareness, and continue growing as a reflective, ethical practitioner.
As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS) approved by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors, Dr. Dominique Hammonds provides supervision for Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associates (LCMHCAs) pursuing independent licensure, as well as consultation and advanced clinical supervision for fully licensed counselors. Her approach integrates evidence-informed practice, multicultural responsiveness, reflective supervision, and professional identity development to support clinicians at every stage of their careers.
North Carolina requires associate-level clinicians to complete 3,000 hours of post-master's supervised practice, including a minimum of one hour of supervision for every 40 hours of professional counseling experience. For most clinicians, this results in weekly or biweekly supervision throughout the licensure process. Individual supervision is available both in person and through secure telehealth.
Individual Supervision & Consultation
Individual Supervision Fee (per session): $150
Individual supervision is available for LCMHCAs completing post-graduate supervised practice as well as fully licensed counselors seeking consultation, advanced clinical skill development, case conceptualization, ethical decision-making, multicultural competence, or a dedicated space for reflective practice and professional growth.
Group Consultation & Supervision
Group Supervision Fee (per session): $100
Quarterly consultation groups bring together provisionally licensed and fully licensed counselors in a collaborative learning community. These sessions provide opportunities to discuss complex cases, strengthen clinical reasoning, explore emerging issues in counseling practice, and receive thoughtful feedback from peers and an experienced supervisor. Associates may apply eligible group supervision hours toward North Carolina licensure requirements.
The best care begins with counselors who remain committed to lifelong learning, reflection, and wellness. Whether you are seeking supervision for licensure or consultation to continue refining your clinical practice, Dr. Hammonds is committed to creating a supportive, collaborative environment where clinicians can grow with confidence, competence, and purpose.
